There’s a lot to know about us, so here are five fast facts!
1️⃣ We are 60 years old this year, making us Singapore’s longest-standing professional bilingual theatre institution.
2️⃣ We’ve produced over 360 productions – everything from musicals, classics, digital theatre, experimental work and Theatre For Young Audiences.
3️⃣ We began as a performing arts school, and since then our Arts Education programmes have touched the lives of generations of students.
4️⃣ Our co-founders Kuo Pao Kun and Goh Lay Kuan are widely regarded as the pioneers of Singapore Theatre and Dance respectively. Many of Kuo’s plays are still taught in schools today!
5️⃣ Our Vision: striving to be a home that nurtures and empowers people who care about humanity, and want to contribute positively to life through the Arts.

Artistic Director of The Theatre Practice (Practice), theatre director, designer, and filmmaker, Kuo Jian Hong has always taken on multi-faceted roles. She has led more than 200 theatre projects and is one of the few female artistic directors in Singapore’s theatre landscape.
